I grew up drawing pictures of airplanes, and as soon as I could afford it (after college) I learned to fly. Over 25 years and 4800 hours later I still love flying, and I find it rewarding to teach other people. I’m an ATP and certified flight instructor with Single Engine, Multi-engine, Instrument Airplane and Glider instructor ratings, but I earn my living as an engineer, so I’m generally available for instruction after work and weekends.
If you’re looking for someone who has a knack for diagnosing and verbalizing why your landings or ILS approaches are less than perfect and can express technical concepts in both engineering equations and layman’s terms, I’d love to share my love of the flying with you. My instructional style will keep you challenged, but not overwhelmed. I’ll work hard to enable your training to progress smoothly and efficiently, and to help you through any stumbling blocks you encounter.
