Pilots Wanted; Passengers Need Not Apply!
My name is Dave Horne and I would like to help you reach your aviation goals. My aviation background is genetic in that I'm the third generation of pilots in my family. I've grown up around aviation and it is something that I'm quite passionate about.
I learned to fly in Half Moon Bay in a Cessna 170 (tailwheel version of the 172). I'm also a graduate of the University of North Dakota with a major in Aviation Management. At UND, not only did I get my advanced flight ratings, I also obtained my CFI and my CFII. In addition to teaching at Shoreline, I've taught flying at one of UND's satellite campuses where I was also our safety advisor.
I'm able to teach Private Pilot, Instrument and Commercial students. I'm also available for club checkouts, flight reviews, and other instruction. During my time at Shoreline Flying Club I've taught a Private Pilot Ground School and conducted an FAA Safety Seminar. At the present moment I'm not taking on full time students, however, I'm available on a limited basis. Feel free to contact me. I look forward to sharing the skies together.
I charge $60 per hour of instruction.
