Shoreline Flying Club was founded in 2004 by Gordon Matthews and Dan Jacobson. Gordon is a 30 year pilot with over 10,000 hours of flight time. He has been a flight instructor for over 20 years and ran the world famous Multi-Engine Flyers Club out of San Jose International airport.
Dan is a pilot for United Airlines. He has been a flight instructor for over 22 years. At United, he has been involved in mentoring pilots to become professional aviators. He brings that experience and knowledge to share with you!
Dan and Gordon combined their strengths and formed Shoreline Flying Club to fill a need in the Bay Area—a need for a first class flying club, operated by professionals, for discriminating aviators. Shoreline provides impeccable airplanes, experienced flight instructors, an impressive learning facility and an atmosphere of camaraderie that will encourage your aviation experience.

In August of 2009, Shoreline Flying Club was absorbed by Sundance Flying Club. The combined fleet of over 24 aircraft provides the San Francisco Bay Area with the best selection of general aviation aircraft at very reasonable rates.
Gordon is the inspiration behind Shoreline Flying Club. He previously ran Multi-Engine Flyers Club at San Jose International Airport. Gordon has instructed literally hundreds of students. He is an FAA safety specialist. There is always something to learn from Gordon. Come by and meet him!
Dan is a pilot for United Airlines. He has been a flight instructor for over 22 years. His experience as a flight instructor, corporate pilot, first officer and Captain for a major airline, provides the basis a for a great learning experience.
